Digital drawings
A collection of my experiments through drawing on my iPad.
What I enjoy most about digital drawing is the ability to colour-pick accurately from photographs. The subtle changes in shade can really be played with, and help me to create palettes for textile works.
I also find that intricately detailed work can often seem abstract. Isolating shapes allows the viewer to focus on how varied and playful things are when removed from everyday contexts. Such as all the shades of white in Queen Anne’s Lace, or all the tiny leaves in Firethorn.
